In I quarter 2011 the sales of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and off-road vehicles increased by 86% as compared to the similar period of the previous year, setting up a new record. The total of 5,363 vehicles were sold during the first three months (against 2,878 units sold in January – March 2010).

The flagship model of the family, Mercedes-Benz S-class, becomes the winner of the “Limousines” nomination for the second year running. Light commercial vehicles participated in the contest alongside with the passenger cars. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, which has established a solid position in the Russian market, was named the best in the “Vans” category, also for the second year in succession.

On April 1, for one day only, top model Karolina Kurkova, the current fashion ambassador of Mercedes-Benz has visited Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Moscow. Kurkova took part at photo shooting for Mercedes-Benz as well as gave interviews to Russian press. In the afternoon she attended fashion shows of Iceberg (Italy) and Laurel (Germany) as a special guest. During her visit, Karolina Kurkova was accompanied by her partner Archie Drury and manager Peter Knell.
