


1881 – Gottlieb Daimler visited Moscow and Saint Petersburg
1890 – Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft was established and deliveries of stationary motors and marine engines to Russia began.
1894 – First Benz automobile came to Russia, a two-seat 1.5 h.p car.
1895 – First Benz automobile was sold in Saint Petersburg that became a prototype of the first Russian stock car manufactured by the Petrol and Gas-Engine Factory owned by industrialist Jakovlev in Saint Petersburg.
1908 - First Moscow car exhibition was held where Benz & Cie had its own stand.
1910 – First Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft car sale room was opened in Moscow.
1912 - Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft became purveyor to the Court of His Imperial Majesty.
1923 – First office of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft was opened in Moscow. The All-Russian test run, during which Mercedes won the first place as the car recording the highest speed.
1925 –Grand All-Russian test run, during which success was won by a 6-cylinder compressor Mercedes, a 6-cylinder Benz car, a Daimler truck with a 3.5 tons carrying capacity and a Benz truck with a 2.5-ton carrying capacity.
1926 - Daimler-Benz AG was established
1946-1969 - Daimler-Benz AG exported to the USSR 604 passenger cars, 20 trucks, 7 buses and 14 Unimog vehicles.
1974 – Office of the first foreign automaker, Mercedes-Benz was opened. Main tasks of the office included not only consulting and supporting motor transport, but also preparing conditions for transactions.
1992 – First official dealer of Daimler-Benz AG emerged, LogoVAZ - Beliaevo.
1994 –AOZT Mercedes Benz Avtomobili was established.
1995 – A spare parts store and a technical center were opened in Moscow for training mechanics and salesmen on a permanent basis.
1998 - Merger of Daimler-Benz AG and the Chrysler Corporation.
1999 – Integration of the Chrysler/Jeep division into ZAO Mercedes – Benz Avtomobili.
2000 - Company was renamed to ZAO Mercedes – Benz Avtomobili RUS.
2002 - In April, ZAO Mercedes – Benz Avtomobili RUS became the general importer of passenger cars and small-tonnage and special (up to 7.5 tons.) Mercedes-Benz motor vehicles in Russia.
2003 - Company presented the brand Maybach in Russia.
2005 - In April, the Mercedes-Benz Center was opened in Moscow (39a, Leningradskiy Prospect). It is the new address of the Company in Russia.
2008 - In May the new Aftersales and Training Centre was opened near Veshki-district at the intersection of Moscow Ring Road and Altufievskoe highway.
2010 - In July the new Direct sales and Service Centre opened its doors at the 85th km of Moscow Ring Road close to the intersection with Altufievskoe highway.
